Engineering Visionary Goals

INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING

Projects:

Chrysler - Detroit, Michigan

In the 1990s Reisz Engineers assisted Chrysler in developing their improved four-cylinder engine ignition system. Reisz Engineers was involved with the development of the electric car introduced in 1990 in Michigan.

Henderson Airport Terminal Building - Henderson, Kentucky

Reisz Engineers consulted on the Henderson Airport Terminal Building in Henderson, Kentucky.

Delphi Automotive Systems Manufacturing/Warehouse Facility - Columbia, Tennessee

The 1.28 million sq. ft. Delphi Chassis System's Delta-Saturn 315 Sequence Facility accommodates manufacturing and warehouse operations for Delphi Automotive Systems, primarily in support of the Saturn manufacturing plant at Spring Hill, Tennessee. Reisz Engineers provided the engineering and design services for the construction of this manufacturing and warehouse facility. The factory area included administrative offices, shipping office, receiving office, quality control and inspection area and employee break area. The office areas are supplied with conditioned air by split unit heat pumps with the small offices conditioned with through-the-wall packaged units. The building has fluorescent lighting, convenience electrical wall outlets, telephone and communication outlets, fixed LEXAN glazed windows in the interior and exterior walls and 1/2 glazed metal pedestrial doors. The factory has air cooled rotary screw air compressors with after coolers, air separators, surge tanks, desiccant dryers and refrigerated air dryers. The electrical distribution system provides 100 KVA for the manufacturing load and metal halide lighting in the manufacturing area.

Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant - Alabama

Reisz Engineers was responsible for a project for the Tennessee Valley Authority involving using warm wastewater to provide heating and evaporative cooling at the Browns Ferry Power Plant. This was recognized as one of ten outstanding engineering projects of 1978 by the National Society of Professional Engineers.

Gold Kist Soy Plant - Decatur, Alabama

Reisz Engineers developed systems that use solar energy in modern industrial processes. At the Gold Kist Soy Plant, solar energy was used in the processing of soybeans into vegetable oil and high protein meal.
